About Us
CUSTOM ART ON DEMAND – I offer my photographic art in digital form for your interiors where nature's complex colors, biophilic design forms or flower-adorned images of girls and women will deepen your design. View and download digital files today to print and frame locally to your precise specifications for a more sustainable process and more control.
WONDER FOR DESIGN – My primary medium is wonder, our homing device for artistic expression in a creative world. As a specialty designer, I am a color specialist, space awareness specialist and writer. Let's collaborate! My phone number (France) does not post correctly so if you'd like to contact me please email me at office@rebekahwest.com
EDUCATION – 2021 certificates in Sustainable Interior Design and Biophilic Design Blueprint. Attended the 2021 New European Bauhaus Conference (online). MA Interdisciplinary Studies: Visual Art and Writing & Poetics, BA Dance Therapy, BA Dance Movement Studies.
MINI BIO – From perfume country, France, I'm a Colorado interdisciplinary artist with a compétences et talents residency to create site-specific projects related to home and belonging. I am inspired by vernacular architecture, historical artifacts, nature, girls and women, hints of perfume and the constant flow of flowers in Provence. Featuring the ruelles and walls of Grasse, a resonant chapel, a found bed in the forest and other people-flower-site relationships my works in photography, video and music have exhibited and toured in France and the US.
ART SPACE LEADER – Former director of Space for Dance (public-private partnership with the City of Boulder) and the Center for Arts, Media & Performance at the ATLAS Institute of the University of Colorado where over a combined twelve years, I developed seventeen digital, performance, broadcast, gallery, immersive and combination art spaces and produced innovative works therein (by professional and student artists and via my artistic contributions), wrote Use Reviews, advocated for arts-specific zoning, worked with city planners and city managers, architects, contributed to community arts facility strategic planning, reported quarterly to the City Council and helped bring to life Boulder's Dairy Center for the Arts.
FUN STORY – Via the invitation of architect David Barrett I created a "dance with building" at the Colorado AIA Conference with the theme of Compassion. Eight 50-yard lengths of fabric connected the airplane hangar's ceiling points at one end and at the other end to a waist harness worn by anyone wanting to dance with the building.
