Originally founded as Bruce L. Bockus, Architect, in 1987, Bruce Bockus and David Payne together established Bockus Payne Associates Architects of Oklahoma City in 1993. Oklahoma was reeling from the oil bust and architects were among the professionals fleeing the state for greener pastures. But Bockus Payne instead decided to stand firm and face the wind. Their enduring goals to deliver exceptional designs and extraordinary service lead led the firm to expand to 22 associates, allowing for individual growth through shared knowledge and experience.
