We believe that design is most successful when the creative process is paired with a clear performance intent. Whether it’s a problem to be solved or an objective to be met, design is a forward-looking pursuit.
We’re always looking ahead and imagining the ways our collections will be used. It’s why we work by hand at the fiber level to understand – and ultimately influence – how our materials will perform in the built environment.
Throughout the design process, we focus on creating products that work together in a holistic way. This comprehensive approach allows us to provide architects and designers with a complete solution capable of wrapping every contour of the interior and unlocking the possibilities found within.

At Luum, sustainability is the lens through which we make our decisions.
From fiber to finish, we honor the Earth and user wellness through research, development, testing and industry feedback – only launching what is most needed and most relevant for the time.
We use digital processes, logistics management and critical thinking to fine-tune our business practices, incorporating sustainability at every step.
We provide material transparency certifications that allow customers to make better informed choices.
We believe that nature’s design is something we need to work with, not against. That’s why we are constantly evolving our practices forward in new ways, with a lighter footprint.

Our commitment to sustainability begins at the loom:
Many Luum products are made in North America, Clean Air Gold Certified, DECLARE certified or Red List Free, Healthcare Without Harm certified, contribute to LEED and WELL ratings and are listed in the mindful MATERIALS library.
Recycled, Renewable, and Biodegradable:
We utilize recycled, renewable and biodegradable fibers wherever possible.
Antimicrobial Finishes:
We do not support the use of topical antimicrobial finishes which are known to cause human harm.
