MC Group and Icon have merged to form one of the largest brand implementation companies in the United States. The combined organization now provides comprehensive signage, construction, energy and maintenance solutions to some of the nation’s largest and most recognized brands. MC Group’s roots lead back to 1953 when it was a local sign company known as MC Sign. MC served Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania in sign sales, manufacturing, service, and installation. At the time it was a modest business operated out of a small-town garage. In 1994, at age 24, Tim Eippert purchased MC Sign Company with an ambitious vision and growth strategy to expand the regional operation into a national industry leader. As the company grew steadily and its national reputation grew stronger, MC’s program management capabilities and services expanded into the lighting industry. The lighting division was created and quickly prospered as customers took advantage of yet another turnkey service offering. Later, in 2011, MC announced the acquisition of Acken Signs. The acquisition not only positioned MC to expand manufacturing capabilities but also provided new and existing customers with almost a century of combined industry experience. As a continuation of MC’s recent growth and expansion of services, MC announced the acquisition of Integra Service Group in January 2018. Integra specialized in electrical service and rollout management. The acquisition now supported MC in offering clients in-house electrical services solutions with an even wider net of trusted partners. These growth opportunities and new service offerings prompted a rebranding effort, including a name change from MC Sign Company to MC Group in 2018. Today, MC Group is a leading provider of facility signage, lighting, and electrical solutions and offers the most extensive brand management available nationwide.
