PaperStone®, created from recycled paper and a non-petroleum resin, is both durable and easy to install, making it a favorite choice for homes, restaurants, office buildings and premiere U.S. museums. Manufactured in Washington State with 100 percent made-in-the-U.S. raw materials, most PaperStone products are certified recycled by the Rainforest Alliance and certified food safe by NSF International.
Sustainability Initiatives:
PaperStone® has had the Earth in mind from the very beginning, and that is rare in the materials industry. PaperStone® starts as recycled paper and old cardboard container paper, diverted from the waste stream. All PaperStone® panels are made in Hoquiam, Wash., at Paneltech’s manufacturing plant. Here, sustainably sourced materials, certified by the SmartWood program of the Rainforest Alliance, are combined with PetroFree™ resin, also designed and produced at the plant. Experts in the facility’s on-site laboratory stay hard at work developing and using the greenest, most natural manufacturing processes that are economically possible. Because of the materials, the processes and the commitment of the team, PaperStone® products allow builders to earn points towards a LEED green building certification.
