The back exterior stairs lead to the basement of the house. This walkway area between the stairs and the door allowed the enslaved workers to move between the coal vault at the far end, the back garden, and the basement of the house without walking through public areas on the first floor.
The Mig Pendant Light was selected to highlight the bar area. These industrial-style ceiling lights were customized in a high-gloss, porcelain enamel Yellow finish and black cords. The ground-level space was completely gutted and redesigned by the talented team from Interior Quality Designs. Patrons are greeted with rustic wood flooring, pops of cobalt blue, and expansive windows with views to the beach and beyond.
