The UNCG pedestrian tunnel is a 200’ long, pedestrian and bicycle tunnel under the Norfolk Southern rail line that ensures safe and convenient access for students coming to and from the campus. Wagner Murray used brick and pre-cast concrete to tie the design to UNCG’s architectural history. They also created gateway icons and strategically placed lighting to illuminate the pathway at night.
