Daktronics installed Barclay’s previous Times Square LED Spectacular in 2001. The original screens lasted 17 years and at the time of their replacement in 2018, they were the oldest LED video screens in Times Square. The new 8mm LED spectacular displays 281 trillion colors, is nearly 10 million pixels, and is over 7,000 square feet of LED video.
