Greensburg Schools
In May 2007 a tornado destroyed most of Greensburg, KS, including all of the schools. The town committed to rebuild a consolidated school using green building practices.
The AIA's Committee of the Environment (COTE) selects ten top environmental designs each year that recognize sustainable design principles and reductions in energy consumption. This building won an AIA COTE Award in 2011. The school is certified LEED Platinum.
