This proposal reinvigorates an existing strip retail center by slicing through the corner of the property creating a new office space that opens to a landscaped terrace. What was once a loading zone and a leftover space for some retailers that did not need street presence, the new office broke through block walls and installed double height glazing to create a light filled open, airy office space. The ceiling was high enough to create a comfortable mezzanine that added some variety the large space and accommodates a tiered gathering space and private conference rooms. Tucked under the mezzanine is an employee training space and gym. The entire space encourages communication and collaboration.
