Wells Concrete in Denver, CO designed a system that minimized floor depth by using a 10” thick rib slab plus 4” of topping for a total depth of 14”. This was achieved by designing the floor slab, beams, and column capitals to the 10” thickness which allowed for a clean structure and no dropped beams.
