Each butcher block table is composed of 0.75-by-1.5-inch wood blocks clamped together with superior Titebond III, a waterproof wood glue. Each block is clamped together on the face grain as opposed to the end grain to promote stability and prevent cupping and bowing. The finish is an ICA acrylic, catalyzed polyurethane in the customer's choice of matte or satin, and it is heat, scratch and moisture resistant. Our finish also is Food and Drug Administration-approved for indirect food contact.
