Named after the distinguishable bark of the Australian Marri tree this screen uses geometric interconnected shapes made of Balsa wood in tinted finish. Each piece is a unique shape that contributes to a perfectly imperfect and organic whole. The screen is mounted to an internal metal base.

Pomme suggests a delicate seed pod or a juicy apple ready to be plucked from a branch. These ellipsoid shapes are made from layered plywood sanded smooth and lit by a single LED. Suspended from a 6’-6” x 3’ mirror ACM ceiling plate, they can be separated or clustered together to help define a space.
Inspiration for this screen was taken from a childhood game called Skittles that is similar to bowling, as well as sample scraps that inspired the edges and random placements. Made with pine dowels that are painted and cut on an angle, each piece is then mounted to a black substrate.
