The design employs a formally simple diagram as a counterpoint to the 1960’s facility and looked to capitalize on the unique qualities of the campus by emphasizing wellness in every aspect of the design.
Relaxing patio space where employees and patients can enjoy the outdoors in a more private setting. All design aspects of the building were chosen to emphasize wellness and wellbeing.
The incorporation of a new and easily accessible lobby allows guests from the community to feel welcomed. The environment emphasizes natural daylight, which promotes healing and nature.
The curtain wall system allows natural light to fill the space promoting wellness and wellbeing.
The color and materials used for the exterior design—Ipé cladding, zinc panels and glass—as well as the warm neutral colors found within the neighboring landscape, are all drawn into the interior to offer an enticing natural setting for patients and guests.
