Our scope included installation of the distinctive curved, structural glass wall of the library’s facade, plus all of the building’s curtain walls, sliding glass walls, storefronts, custom graphic glass, and arched openings and skylights.
Giroux Glass glaziers that all custom graphic glass features were cut to perfection. Otherwise, the detailed patterns on each piece would become distorted—a mistake that would ruin the entire effect. The modern shape of the library and bright exterior blend seamlessly with the neighborhood in Costa Mesa where it is located.
The large, arched glass facade at the library provide ample light for the library and a unique, striking exterior.
Upon entry of the library, the skylight atrium and lobby area is illuminated with natural light and welcomes visitors into the space.
A closer view of the large skylight helps show just how much natural light it brings into the library. Not only is the entrance area and atrium illuminated, but the corridor and the entire area of the library is lit from the skylight.
The custom graphic glass provided by Giroux Glass provides a decorative touch for the meeting room at the Lions Park Library.
The cozy reading chairs and meeting area is encompassed by custom decorative graphic glass. The glass wall panels provide privacy and decoration to the space.
In total, the Donald Dugan Library has a 1,714 sq ft interior. The upper-level features workspace desks and meeting rooms with custom graphic glass.
