Rikett America
Our Projects
About Us
In 1952 Rieber & Sons and Tarkett, founded RikettTM in Bergen, Norway to manufacture quartz flooring. Rikett Quartz Tile, (RQT), was invented as an alternative to homogeneous tiles using asbestos and carbonites. During the 1950’s, an enlightened environmental vision enabled Rikett to eliminate the harmful chemical asbestos and replace it with Quartz, an innocuous and abundant natural mineral. The new Rikett Quartz Tile was, and still is, vastly superior in strength, flexibility and performance to all other composition floor tiles. For over 60 years, Rikett has successfully manufactured and sold nearly 2 Billion square feet of quartz tile worldwide. Currently, RQT is manufactured with a hard-wearing, industrial grade polyurethane coating that does not require wax or floor finish. Rikett offers a 20-Year commercial wear-through warranty on RQT. Rikett Quartz Tile was launched in the US market in 1999. In 2013 Rikett America’s parent company, Rikett Asia Holding, Ltd., invested in two LVT manufacturing plants and launched its RESO Luxury Vinyl Tile & Plank lines, (LVT & LVP). Rikett’s attractive collection of Wood, Stone and Abstract patterns reflect stunningly real, high-definition images of nature, creating a realistic floor that will enhance any decor. Rikett RESO LVT is manufactured to high quality and environmental standards, using bio-based plasticizers, and is offered at an excellent value. Rikettseal™ Surface Technology requires no floor finish and allows RESO LVT to be easily cleaned and economically maintained for many years. RESO LVT comes with a 15-year commercial, and 25-year, transferrable Residential warranty. Rikett’s manufacturing facilities are ISO 14001, (Environmental) and ISO 9001, (Quality), certified. Rikett builds fully sustainable flooring products. It does not use any unknown recycled content, which may contain hazardous chemicals. Rikett’s flooring does not contain Ortho-Phthalates, Formaldehyde or harmful chemicals. RQT and RESO LVT are 3rd party certified to meet or exceed the requirements for USGBC LEED v4 for VOCs in flooring, (CA #1350), as well as VOCs for adhesives and sealants. It also meets the requirements for the State of California High Performance Schools, (CHPS), and the CPSIA test for the safety of plastics in children’s toys. Currently, many other LVT manufacturers do not always meet these voluntary safety and environmental standards. Rikett’s mission is to manufacture and sell the best quality products at the most competitive prices. We look forward to working with you on your new flooring projects.
