The glass scrim that we did with Bendheim wraps a stair tower that leads to a new rooftop bar. For that, one of the challenges of this project was trying to put glass over the concrete tower but then also make it a projectable surface. We did a bunch of research and identified Bendheim as having a unique product that would satisfy the requirements, and verified that it worked from a cost and performance standpoint. What we settled on was putting a frit on the number one surface of the glass, which is not extremely common ... and so working through that with Bendheim was particularly beneficial. The other things to talk about with our collaboration with Bendheim was they were a very apt and able partner in working through some of the technical challenges. We were extremely happy with how it turned out and satisfying the client's desire to project on it while also satisfying the kind of architectural language we really found a lot of success in this system and this installation.
